Well we had our first debate, and we lost. Yeah I know, not that great for my FIRST DEBATE! But apparently I speak well and improvise when it was needed. Our topic was Plastic Bags should be banned. Our first speaker laid down the team line which the opponent was meant to go by and they didn't. We got accused of saying that the only alternative for plastic bags was paper bag and they used some language that was... I dunno... a little personal. When I say accuse, I mean accuse. We never even mentioned paper bags because it wasn't needed (or we thought not) but yeah I put up an argument that an alternative to both is 'material' bags. I ended up looking at my South African friend as I was saying "And in South Africa they have banned plastic bags and if they don't have a bag to carry their stuff in then they have to carry all their stuff in their arms. Now if they can do this in a war ridden country why can't they do it here?" So they had to put in the word 'materials' when they spoke out about how paper bags AND materials weren't suitable substitutes.
I also got busted and said that Australia doesn't give a toss about humanity. We were in the sections about jobs (or I was rebutting on it) and I said that since people would be losing their jobs it wouldn't effect Australia in the job catagory. But no since Australia would be effected economically and the opposite team STRONGLY disagreed (which they didn't back up to well) I was completly wrong in saying that job loses in China, Thailand, Malaysia and India, wouldn't make Australians loose them.
I am too tired to keep typing... Until Next Time

I hate the buses.
Now don't get me wrong, I think the bus system here is great! For $2.00 you can ride around (back and fourth on the same route) for 3 hours, AND if you are a kid (go to school) or if you go to university then you get to ride FOR FREE! The only problem with this is that a certain type of person can also ride the bus for free (only way they could get around without fucking walking). I think these people would be alright if they kept to themselves, but some of them don't. They also seem to have no respect for personal space.
Think about this for a moment, imagine one of you biggest fears (shut up mum) was all around you, one was right in front of you and it was getting closer and closer. You're in a seat and you can't get away, no matter how much you twist and turn and try and move back into your seat, it keeps getting closer to you. I had that. I ended up getting very upset and having to move. No one did anything.
It's understandable because sometimes you just can't help. You don't want to get involved. You just don't care. I know people have their own shit to deal with, but a simple, are you ok? Would have been nice.
I did recieve this from 2 lovely women in the girls bathroom. They asked if I was alright and I said yes and thanked them both. Out of a whole bus and a whole mall/supermarket/shoppingcentre, they were the only ones that asked who I didn't know.
On another note I got my hair cut today, shortish at the back, one side shorter then the other, and my fringe (ok I REALLY don't know how to spell that) is now parted so I can see through on eye all the time. Sevvy made us hotdogs for dinner, they were yummy and he ran to the bus (my hero!) so that it wouldn't leave me behind.
I dunno what I am going to do for the rest of the night. I will probably play minecraft, getting all the cobblestone I need to make my giant house and then finally go exploring and start setting up various little resting points, and fill those up with items that I might need. Sorry that this is so short. If I get in trouble for what I have said on this but I am sorry. I haven't named anyone so I don't really see how, if you think I should delete this post (wow I am not even sure if I can) then please tell me in your comments and I will.

Debating
You gotta love being ready to go and then you mutilate your thumb on a piece of fucking plastic, (over exagerating) and then spend a few minutes trying to get a bandaid on! Oh well I made it to the bus just in time and that is the important thing. Anyways onto what happened today, I got a pie (beef, cheese and bacon), a giant horrible tasting cookie, watched the start of Othello, talked about bats in Geography (I can't remembered if I got bit when I carried and saved a little bat and apparently I have some horrible...disease if I did), zoned out in maths, learned about the Academic Learning Program (which will be hepful before I start university), talked about Charles Manson and other such things in Psychology which was fun AND went to my first debating. SEE I DO THINGS FOR THE SCHOOL!
It was interesting watching people debate over the topic: Facebook does more harm then it does good. The people stuffed up because they the positive side said that facebook only does harm and no good and the negative side said that facebook did only good and no harm. They had statistics and facts which made you tune in more and I really liked the whole bitchy thing about the Point of Interest (when someone interupts the speaker in order for them to answer a question about what they had been speaking about) and I was pretty much itching in my seat to join them and tell them points that I knew.
There was a cute moment when we were asked if anything good had happened on facebook with us and I told them that me and Sevvy lost contact for about 2 years and facebook was how we found each other. They also laughed at me/with me (I was confused) when I said that it was so easy for a 40 year old man to pose as a attrative 16 year old boy. Heh oh well they laughed and smiled, that I what is impotant.
There was a boy though, who was rude during his whole speech. He didn't really care about his topic obviously and when he was called on to answer a question not only did he answer sarcastically 'Go on then.' he also asked them a question and that is strictly against the rules.
Other than that it was pretty good, there is a wide range of people that we will be up against, people from south africa, goths and nerds and some kinda 'cool' kids. I am really looking forward to next Wednesday cause that'll be my first debate. Our topic is: Plastic bans should be banned. We are the positive side so that isn't too hard. Since Mum knows a lot about animal protection, she can give me some pointers on what plastic bags can do to the environment (even the biodegradable ones).
Anyways it's getting late so I better go to bed otherwise I'll feel like a zombie when I rise from the dead in the morning!
